Compliance with Current Laws and Regulations

At The Oak Bluffs Inn, we are committed to ensuring compliance with current laws and regulations concerning website accessibility for lodging establishments. We strive to provide equal access and a positive experience for all individuals, including those with disabilities, in accordance with the requirements set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.

Limitations Regarding Accessibility at The Oak Bluffs Inn

The Oak Bluffs Inn, a historical establishment built in 1870, has certain limitations due to the nature of its construction. We regret to inform you that we do not have ADA accessible rooms.  As such, accessibility features such as ramps or elevators are not available with the inn.

Access to the Inn and Guest Rooms

The Inn, all guest rooms and bathrooms at The Oak Bluffs Inn are accessed exclusively by a set of stairs.  The bathroom showers have a step ranging from 8 inches to 20 inches to enter the shower. We acknowledge that this may present challenges for the individuals with mobility impairments and apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Access to the Carriage House Rooms

The rooms in the carriage house, an extension of The Oak Bluffs Inn, are accessed by a set of stairs and a gravel walkway.  We understand that this may pose difficulties for guests with mobility limitations and offer our sincere apologies for any inconvenience experienced.

Gravel Surfaces

We would like to bring to your attention that the parking lot, back patio, and walkways at The Oak Bluffs Inn are covered with gravel.  We understand that navigating these surfaces may present challenges for individuals with mobility impairments or those using mobility devices.

Continued Commitment to Accessibility

Despite our current limitations, we are dedicated to continuously improving the accessibility of our website and services.  We strive to provide an inclusive experience for all individuals, and we value feedback and suggestions for enhancing accessibility.

We are on our way home after a 3 night stay at the Inn. We had a wonderful time and most of it thanks to our host Eric. He goes above and beyond for his patrons. Eric helped us maximize our trip by making recommendations and planning our day. I stupidly left my hat at a bar one night and Eric magically tracked it down and returned it to me while getting us to a ferry on time! I would love to stay here again and encourage you to do so. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun! You feel like family by the end of the trip.
